I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and Danville, California. I have lived in beautiful Alpine for 19 years with my husband of 29 years. We have 6 children, 2 sons-in-law, 1 daughter-in-law, 4 grandchildren, 1 dog (a Texas Heeler named Mr. Darcy), 2 cats (Mrs. Norris and Chuck), and 5 chickens (Mable, Pig, Charles, Henzilla, and Zusamar Destroyer of Corn). We also spend a lot of time with the neighborhood horses as my two middle daughters are head over heels for them and ride (Western and English) every chance they get. I have been teaching at Summit Academy for 4 years and am excited to be a part of the third grade team!
I'm an avid reader and am always looking for good book suggestions . . . . I also love animals and family history, and I have a reputation for making the best pies there are!
This year I will be using Seesaw to share and communicate with families. If you ever want to know what is going on in our classroom, please download the free Seesaw Family app and sign in. You can also access Seesaw from a computer at: http://app.seesaw.me
Once you download the app, choose your child and create your account. Once I approve you, you can see content that I upload from your child and our classroom. Your child will also post to Seesaw to share their learning. I'll also use this app to send you personal messages and reminders. Seesaw is private; you'll only see posts created by me and your child.
