About Me

Welcome back to school!! I am excited to be your child’s math teacher for the 2018 - 2019 school year!

I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and Danville, California. I have lived in beautiful Alpine for 17 years with my husband of 26 years. We have 6 children, 2 sons-in-law, 1 daughter-in-law, 2 grandchildren, 1 dog (a Texas Heeler named Mr. Darcy), 2 cats (Mrs. Norris and Chuck), and 4 chickens (Lizzie, Jane, Georgiana, and Caroline - Mr. Darcy's chicks that he likes to herd). We also spend a lot of time with the neighborhood horses as my two middle daughters are head over heels for them and ride (Western and English) every chance they get.
It wasn't until my junior and senior years of high school that two excellent teachers showed me math could be fun! I hope to do the same for your children.
I'm an avid reader and am always looking for good book suggestions . . . . I also love family history, and I have a reputation for making the best pies there are!

Math Facts Practice

Great News!  Summit Academy has purchased the license for our students to continue to perfect their math facts using the popular Timez Attack game. Data for this game shows 95 percent of students become fluent in grade-level math facts after a short time on the program. Now our students can play Imagine Math Facts (formerly Timez Attack by Big Brainz) at home on a web based program or a mobile app! If you are playing on a PC, Firefox works best.

Use the same username and password as on Prodigy.
Our school code is 4900066.
To play on a mobile device, find Imagine Math Facts by Imagine Learning in your app store. It is available for iPhone, iPad, Android, Tablet, and Kindle.

Practice MATH FACTS at using the same login as on Prodigy. School code is 4900066.
